Hilary Gosher is a Managing Director at Insight Venture Partners, a global private and growth equity firm investing in software and internet companies. Hilary founded and leads Insight Onsite, the firm’s operations and growth experts. Onsite underwrites due diligence and drives value capture at portfolio companies through focusing on the levers that accelerate profitable growth. Hilary has served as Advisor to, or Board Member of, several companies (including Drillinginfo, Mimecast, Cvent, Datasift, Ikano, Argus, ECI Solutions, Turnitin, OverDrive, Planview, Primavera, Shunra Software).
Hilary is a Board Member of Parity Partners, a company focused on education, awareness and recruiting to build diversity in decision-making at investment and tech companies.
Since 2016 Hilary has been an Adjunct Associate Professor at Columbia's SIPA (School of International and Public Affairs) where she lectures in entrepreneurship. From 2010 to 2015 she held this position at NYU's Stern School of Business. She actively mentors start-ups in the technology economy. She is on the Executive Advisory Board of Techweek NYC, and an advisor and investor in CRE, an early stage fund focused on entrepreneurship in Africa.
Prior to joining Insight, Hilary held management positions at The Monitor Group and Marketspace. Earlier in her career she held finance positions at Reuters UK and Sea Containers in London.
Hilary received an MBA from INSEAD in France along with a BA in Economic History (first class pass) and a Bachelor of Laws (LLB), cum laude, from the University of Kwa-Zulu Natal, South Africa.
